With DMX control, can the LEDs produce any color, or is it limited to pre-defined colors?
In DMX mode there are several options in 5 or 7 channel mode you can manually select the colors by increasing or decreasing the DMX value of the fader assigned to the specific colors and blending them to your desired color. In 1,2,3 channel mode your options are limited to random colors.

What is the smoke/fog made of, a water type vapor? Will it cause smoke detectors to go off?
All fog machines will set off smoke detectors if enough fog is produced and they are particle sensor alarms. Heat sensor alarms will not be set off.
