    Dell S2719DGF Reviews

    S2719DGF 27" 16:9 155 Hz FreeSync Gaming Monitor is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Phenomenal Gaming Monitor Regardless of your Graphic Card Pros: Tomshardware.com was right... this monitor has a lovely out of the box color accuracy and near reference picture quality with a few blemish. You disable Freesync if youve a Nvidia cards, like a RTX 2080, and use it like a normal 144hz monitor and have a nice response time- courtesy of being a TN panel- Has USB 3.0 ports and headphone jack and stunning picture quality     Cons: This is with all TN panels, dark or darker colors, like black and grey, tend to shift regardless where you sit or view this monitor         This monitor has a typical contrast ratio and decent black level, so dont expect IPS or VA type of performance- It way better than my old Dell monitor with its horrible pq-       The speakers doesnt work at all on my unit- Then again, I didnt pay 350 dollars for speakers-      Since its 1440p and virtually all monitor doesnt have any processing, like a TV, youll see compressing artifacts on broadcast or streamed videos, like Amazon Prime Video or Netflix or any premium cable channels, -but it will play nicely with YouTube 1440p or 4K -because everything is broadcasted in TV resolution and not monitor resolution.  This monitor needs a colorimeter, like Datacolor or X-rite, that an ambient light sensor with a reference editing software, like Calman, to get the best possible picture out of this monitor with it set to Custom Color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gsync compatibility YMMV I bought this monitor because it is a lower priced version than the more expensive dell s2716dgr that is three years older than this model. They both have very similar specs. The only difference was this monitor doesn’t officially support gsync on gtx 10 series or rtx 20 series cards. Now that Nvidia has released firmware to support Variable Refresh Rates using the VESA standard, I thought this monitor would have gsync capability that usually would cost much more than a monitor without it. Nvidia only supports VRR through the DisplayPort which this monitor does not come a DisplayPort cable. I only received a power cable, usb super speed cable and the hdmi 2.0 cable. The colors were great upon setting up the monitor but gsync only worked for one of my gaming computers. With gsync compatibility enabled and the monitor over locked to 155hz, games were super smooth and buttery. Playing fortnite on a gtx 1070 and the FPS capped at 144hz and vsync off(in game there is no setting for 155 hz). Screen had no dead pixels or and clouding or banding. There was no lag, stuttering or blurring. Frame rates were pretty solid at 144 hz on low/medium settings. On the other computer, I had the exact same gtx 1070 and all settings the same but kept getting screen blanks every now and then. I had to either turn off gsync or turn off freesync in order to get rid of the blanking. Gameplay without gsync was surisingly smooth but not buttery smooth as with gsync on. I didn’t notice any large tearing or stutters since the FPS was so high already. This monitor is not on the list as being verified to be compatible by Nvidia but many websites reported being able to use it with gsync and everything was stable. As with my case it luckily worked on one of my gaming rigs and I’m super happy about that.
