Really Right Stuff BZ7 Overview

The Base Plate for Nikon Z 7, Z 6, Z 5, Z 6II, and Z 7II from Really Right Stuff is designed with anti-twist flanges to keep the camera from twisting while mounted on the plate. The CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum plate maintains complete access to the battery door, and the plate has an option for an available L-component that will fit the plate's modular design and make a custom-fit L-plate. The base plate has a durable Type II anodized finish and a laser-engraved center mark on the back to align it on a tripod head.

Not any particular at this time as the grip on the new Zs is slightly deeper. You can use versatile plate though the fitting will not be perfect.

Does this plate have a QD attachment?

No. There are threaded holes (both standard sizes) for attaching something like a QD mount adapter, but then the Arca Swiss plate won't attach without removing the adapter first.

Does this work with the FTZ adapter ?

Does this work with the FTZ adapter ?
Asked by: Anthony
According to Really Right Stuff, yes, the Really Right Stuff Base Plate for Nikon Z7 and Z6, B&H # REBZ7BASEPLT, may be used while the FTZ adapter is attached to the camera. However, please note that you would not be able to attach a base plate to the FTZ adapter simultaneously while this base plate is connected to the camera body. If you wish to attach a base plate to the FTZ adapter, then the base plate for the camer would need to be removed. To summarize, you may use one base plate on the camera, or one base plate on the FTZ adapter, but you cannot use a base plate on both the camera and FTZ adapter simultaneously. I hope that makes sense.
