It all depends on your definition of high quality. I think that the best answer had it right. If you are shooting 4k, divide the answer by around 4. You should be able to figure this out. Go shoot some 4k 30fps for 30 minutes and see how big the file is. Multiply the # by 2 for hours and Divide 500G by your number

Yes it does. However you will need to install the Atomos Handle Adapter for AtomX SSDmini to it, B&H # ATOMXSSDH1. It requires the handle for use in the larger Atomos Recorders.

Why can’t I record 4K60p in anything but the lowest quality with this SSD?
Are you using a good HDMI cable ?
In my experience I had an issue because I was using a cheap HDMI cable instead I went to Amazon and purchase a high-quality HDMI from monoprice, make sure the cable will pass through 4K 4444 at 60fps.
