This adapter will not accommodate certain SmallRig baseplates.

I use this for those occasions when I need to quickly go from sticks to Ronin and back again. I just slide off the arri dovetail on the tripod and slide right on to the Ronin, balance, and Im ready to play. It does add weight to a Ronin setup so I only use this gag when time is crucial and its a one-off shot. If Im on the Ronin most of the day handheld, I tend towards a more stripped down setup.

Is the DJI Ronin 2 side the same size as standard Manfrotto?

The SHAPE ARRI Standard to DJI Ronin 2 Dovetail Adapter (7") was not engineered for compatibility with Manfrotto and they do not guarantee compatibility.

We are not aware of an Arri Dovetail for the Ronin-MX.
