    The 2K lamp arrived on time. I installed it in my Mole Richardson junior and fired it up. It delivered a bright cool light with almost no heat. I began to test the lamp daily, usually for two hours or so with different setups. On day six I arrived at the studio, set up a shot, turned on the lamp and was about to shoot when the lamp winked out. Smoke began drifting out of my Mole Richardson. I powered down and removed the lamp. The LED appeared to have melted and the outer case had spots of some sort of oil on it. I repacked the lamp and sent it to Visionsmith for repair. I really want to believe that what happened was an anomaly because the lamp performed beautifully...when it was working.
