Charges to full power in 90 minutes (I consider that fast), and holds a charge seemingly forever, when I use it at less than full power (as I usually do). I got one extra battery for each of my Badger Unleashed units, but have not yet had to go to the backup battery. Very happy with these.

The original flash unit I purchased had a charger and battery. When I purchased the back up battery it did not come with a charger.
