Yup its an underwatwr 360 housing. Make sure you dont scatch the case as it looms like that would be fairly easy if not causious.

Having an underwater 360 camera is amazing, but...

The case starts leaking ~10 minutes after use, I suspect because the camera gets so hot while continuously shooting without much heat dissipation.

Works great so far.

I got the Insta360 One X instead of updating my gopro.  This housing allows me to surf and snowboard with it.  The housing works well.  It allows me to not be afraid when about scratching the lens, which is a big complaint with fusion users.  This housing is better than the other housing which many people complain about.  The video still stitches well.  You only lose a little quality to gain the protection.  Even out of water it can be handy if you are afraid of rocks or debris hitting this huge lenses.  I fear the latch mechanism will break, because its plastic, but it has a solid feel and comes with anti fog strips and a place to hold them.  It appears well designed.  Like it so far.

Only if going underwater

I’d only recommend if you are going underwater and want the stitch line to show up well. It does a good job capturing images near the stitch line compared to the original Insta360 One underwater housing case. Problem is you need the camera to be vertical because if you hold it straight out while on a selfie stick you will only see about half of your body, and it blocks about 1/3 of the total image when it is in view for the overcapture mode, a major issue when held straight out which is why you need to plan how to keep camera vertical to capture the action, so requires tilting the camera 45-90 degree at the end of the selfie stick. I would never bother with it for skiing, perhaps the other case would be better for protection and keeping more image (I assume), but this one is required for diving since I presume the other case has issues with the stitch line areas when underwater.

this housing is always visible in your shots. I tried it with there selfie stick while snowboarding and the housing covered me in the shot every time. hmm Now I haver to figure out a plan b for snowboarding.

Are there any hydrophobic treatments for the dive ...

Are there any hydrophobic treatments for the dive case yet? I plan to use for a water filming at the beach. Most of the shots will be in the surf was constant waves hitting the housing. Water drops will likely make this not work well.

Same solution to deal with the fog in scuba diving mask. Rub the area that you want to be hydrophobic with soap and then rinse. Before and when in the water it is also a good idea to spit and rub where you want the water to run down. I do a lot of watersports photography and this works the best. I tried getting the turtle wax that is used in windshields and it made things worst.
