Will this work with Macbook Pro 15" 85W power adapter?
Asked by: Mike
If you are using the ONsite D-Tap to AC Power Supply (220V) with the Tether Tools ONsite D-Tap Battery with V-Mount (US) #TESDBV150 you will not be able to fully power your Macbook Pro 15" 85W. The USB port on the battery is governed to prevent overheating and will not supply a steady power supply to the AC Power Supply. If the computer is idle, the AC adapter and battery will charge the computer, but when the computer is in use and processing, the battery may throttle down to prevent overheating and will not charge the computer. Once the heavy processing is done, the AC adapter and battery will return to normal operation.

The Fan of the Tether Tool's ONsite D-Tap to AC Power Supply (220V) can get to levels where it could be picked up by sensitive microphones. The internal fan is temperature controlled and will initiate and adjust velocity automatically to control the internal unit temperature.
