    ION Audio ICD06 Reviews

Air CD Portable CD Player with Bluetooth is rated 2.4 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bought for Jeep without CD Player Bought this to see if the bluetooth would connect to two of my Jeeps.  One Jeep has 4C Nav UConnect and the other has 3C Nav UConnect.  4C attempted to connect but failed over and over.  Occasionally it would kinda connect but fail but would display a device called JL012 or something like that.  3C wont connect at all.  I was able to connect it to my JBL speaker, another iHome speaker without issues though it was slow to pair.  I will hang onto it as its cheap and unique... but isnt doing what I intended it to do.  Not sure if its failure of the CD player or UConnect not supporting it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BT Pairing Failure BT for this product did not engage.  I have paired many devices but this is the first one that failed.  My wife & I both read the directions and followed them exactly as described, no luck.  We both heard a click noise but after awhile the unit went into automatic disengagement.  Tried removing the batteries for a hard reboot but clicking the BT is locked into automatic disengagement. I should have read the reviews first...oops.  I would have not ordered the product.  Recommendation:  do not order this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not stream to car stereo via Bluetooth Two problems with this CD player: 1. It does not stream music via Bluetooth in an automobile that has built in Bluetooth 2. When playing CDs through the headphones, you can hear background noise of the spinning CD player motor. In my opinion this CD player is cheaply made and I think its junk

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective Product The display does NOT show the playing track number, total number of tracks or playback time. The display shows unfamiliar symbols, numbers and “ANTI-S” in very tiny letters in the lower corner of the display near the PLAY/Pause button. Program does not work. I can see “PROG.” in very tiny letters in the top corner of the display near the PROG button, but I can’t select anything. The screen continues to display symbols, numbers and “ANTI-S”. Bluetooth setup and Repeat share a button. Bluetooth works – I was able to pair the ION Air with Bose SoundLink speakers. Repeat works, but is difficult to use without setting off an attempt at Bluetooth pairing. What a mess. What a terrible product. My 1998 JVC XL-P54CR has problems, but it still has better sound, a working program mode and a functioning display that is readable without a magnifying glass.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor product, Bluetooth does not work The selling point of this CD player for me was the ability to pair the device with Bluetooth headphones. Otherwise it is just a CD player - there are many choices of such ones.  The way it pairs with Bluetooth device would be good if worked. It just show that it is in paring mode but does not show anything that it finds. I was not able to successfully pair it with neither my headphones nor loud speaker (different brands). It did not pair with headphones at all. It paired with the speaker but provides no sound. Tech support suggested me to go outside (away from other Bluetooth devices that might be available around) and try again. Did not help. They issued me RMA and I sent the unit back. After allowed time frame (two months) has been passed I contacted them and only after that they shipped me replacement. I was not able to pair the new unit with headphones either (did not try the speaker). I still use it as regular CD player. Advertised Bluetooth connectivity is poorly designed and implemented (or not implemented at all). Perhaps someone will be more lucky than I and will be able to use the feature. I regret Ive bought it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work as advertised I should have read the reviews first.  I have set up more than a dozen blue tooth devices but this is the first one to fail.  I heard a click in my Bluetooth-enabled headphones then nothing.  Tried 6 times with same or no result. My wife also tried but incurred the same results.  We followed the written instructions word-for-word, BTW.  Recommendation: Dont buy This Product

The Air CD should connect to any Bluetooth device that supports A2DP. The documentation in the manual of your car will display if this is supported.

The Ion Audio Air CD includes a USB to Barrel adapter, so that you can use a standard power brick (like you would use to charge a phone) to power the Air CD.

I am very interested in purchasing this CD ...

I am very interested in purchasing this CD player, because my 2017 Chevy Cruze has an Infotainment System, but no CD player. My iPhone plays through the system via Bluetooth, but I have a large CD collection and miss being able to listen to hem in the car. I have looked in both the large Owner's Manual and the Infotainment Manual and have been unable to find whether the Bluetooth system is A2DP capable. The local service department did not know. Is the Cruze system compatible with the ION ICD06? If so, will buy.

HI! Happy to help! Playback can be paused using the play/pause button, which will freeze playback at a particular point on the CD. Press play/pause button again to resume where you left off.
