I read multiple reviews of the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets prior to purchasing. My first impression after unboxing was that these feel more like a toy than a production environment tool. The $22 battery replacement cost also is a bit of a red flag. It's a proprietary battery so third party batteries aren't an option. In the past I've had to rely on hand signals or my production team members actually paying attention to move from live interviews to prerecorded scenes during livestreams. Not anymore. These simply work, despite their amateur appearance. Since they operate on the 1.9 GHz spectrum, I've never experienced dropouts or interference when in use. You can't toss them around like regular headphones. They not as well built as headphones. Keep them in the protective case when not in use and remove the batteries as recommended when not in use. I'm sure other companies make a better built headset, but at a much higher cost. If you treat them with care and follow the recommendations, these should provide you with several years of worry-free operation.

If there is interference from other wireless intercom systems like a football coaching staff at a game, can you change frequencies to avoid picking up their signal?
Asked by: Bob
RF or other interference is always a risk. This system works on RF Bandwidth 1728 GHz where there is very little use by other devices. This is a single radio band device.

Does this wireless intercom work in Brazil? What is the better option for me in this case, the USA set or Europe.
Asked by: Filipe
For most accurate advice email Eartec directly and they will answer this quickly then order what they say from BHphoto. That's what I did to work out what I should have in New Zealand. Eartec are very helpful. New Zealand, Australia, UK and Europe all use same spectrum band. I am not sure about Brazil. Any of the headsets will work anywhere in the world , it is just a matter of what is legal in each country. or as I did , I also spoke to my Govt's Radio Frequency Authority. or contact Anatel or https://www.teleco.com.br/en/en_freq_no_brasil.asp But the best advice. Email Eartec, they should know the answer. [email protected] or (800) 399-5994 or (401) 782-4966

Can I add a hub to this system to expand the number of headsets?
Asked by: Timothy
Yeah, with a hub you can use up to 9 headsets-but in that configuration you would not use your master unit-you would use the hub as the master, and have a corded headset plugged into the master, and then have 8 recurved headsets. Do you would need to buy the hub, the corded headset, and 4 more receiver (or I believe they call them "remote") headsets.
