The SSD7102 Controller from HighPoint is an innovative 4-channel M.2 NVMe RAID controller with comprehensive boot capability designed for use with modern Intel or AMD workstation platforms. The SSD7102 packs the power of 20x SATA SSD's into a compact, easily integrated PCIe 3.0 x16 controller. Performance-focused architecture ensures the PCIe 3.0 x16 host interface is equally distributed among the M.2 slots, providing dedicated x4 transfer bandwidth for each individual SSD. The controller is designed to support a variety of NVMe-based boot configurations for Windows platforms. Users can configure up to four independent bootable volumes, one per M.2 drive, or boot from one or more RAID arrays. RAID 0 is ideal for systems that require the quickest boot-time possible. RAID 1 is ideal for users that require additional layers of data security for their boot volumes.
The SSD7102 Controller is an independent NVMe RAID solution, designed for easy integration into commercially available Intel and AMD based high-performance desktops, workstations, and server platforms. The all-aluminum casing of the controller dissipates heat away from the NVMe modules and features an integrated fan/heat sink that eject excess heat away from vital components to keep ambient temperatures manageable and cool. The controller also includes NVMe Manager software interface, which features TRIM support, and SMART monitoring with total Terabyte Written (TBW) tracking. TRIM support promotes the longevity and endurance of NVMe storage by enabling each SSD to handle garbage collection more efficiently, which helps eliminate write speed degradation. SMART monitoring allows to check a variety of physical attributes of each NVMe SSD, including temperature readings, voltage, and TBW. The interface updates attribute data in real time and can be configured to notify users by email in the event of an error condition or threshold warning.
SSD7102 Controllers employ proven RAID stack and support up to four NVMe SSD's in one or more RAID 0 and 1 configurations. The NVMe SSD's can be set to operate independently if desired, and RAID arrays can be scaled or upgraded for additional performance or storage capacity. The controller includes a simple, intuitive web-based RAID management interface designed to provide a wealth of monitoring and configuration options for novice and experts alike.
