Ooma Telo Air 2 Overview

Make clear telephone calls using your existing home phone with the Telo Air from Ooma. Equipped with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the Telo Air connects to your home network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and you can plug your home phone, fax machine, or phone jack splitter into the telephone port.

Once you activate the Telo Air, you can place domestic and international calls. For U.S. calls, you pay only applicable federal, state, and local taxes and fees. International calling rates apply. Ooma-to-Ooma calls are free. Please visit the manufacturer's site for more details on taxes, fees, and surcharges.

PureVoice HD technology helps to ensure clear call quality. Calling features include voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, and 911 support. You can set up the Telo Air using the free Ooma app for iOS and Android, or you can configure the device with your computer over the Ethernet management port.

Beware of Ooma services & boarding challenges

This review is on Ooma's services. Ordered Ooma's Premier service directly with Ooma. Received Telo device from Ooma, supposed to be pre-activated and be able to get up and running in less than 15 minutes. Totally not the case. With the setup app, was not able to get pass the login screen (user ID/PW were fine, displayed loading user data, then drop back to login prompt). No issue logging on through the web page. On phone with Ooma support for 2 hours. Instructed not to use setup app, but device boot up got stuck at software update. Was transferred to L2 support, then told need to escalate ticket to L3 support, will call back 24-48 hours. Next day right at Ooma support's closing time (5pm PT), they called twice (2-min apart), unfortunately I was away and missed call. Tried calling back right away, said support hours passed. Called support back early next morning, told to go to their activation page to enter activation code. But web page showed error for site owner: invalid domain for site key for reCAPTCHA. Received same error on phone, iPad, PC. After a while, said my ticket needs to be escalated. Frustrated with the run around. The issues all appeared to be on Ooma's end, and the boarding process should not be this difficult. One customer specialist told me my ticket was never touched by their L3 support (not what I was told 2 days ago). Decided to cancel. Also, for phone # porting, per Ooma's support page, It takes an average of three to four weeks to complete the porting process.

It was very simple to install and get the Telo Air up and running. Instructions were clear and I had no problems. I ported my home phone number which only took a few days. I went with the Premiere service and this was considerably cheaper than my landline service with Frontier. The quality of the sound is excellent--you can't go wrong with Ooma!

Plug in your main wireless phone and use as many as your phone set will allow. ooma only sees one phone is connected to the telo. Only 4 of their branded hand sets are allowed + 4 cell phones thru bluetooth.
