I bought this cable as an accessory for my Saramonic uwMic9 kit, but it turns out I don't need it. The kit came with the exact same cable, even though it wasn't listed on the product page for the uwMic9 kit. I'm keeping it anyway as a spare. Using this cable I can record audio from each transmitter to a separate track on my Tascam Dr-70D.

Great XLR Splitter

I bought this item to hook up a Saramonic dual receiver to split the audio into 2 mono tracks. The cable is well made, easy to use, and feels like it will hold up to being on set. I love that the 3.5mm end locks into the receiver as well! This really helps in production by separating one receiver out into two channels for mixing purposes in case there is any overlap or noise on one microphone. Happy Saramonic make a cable to facilitate this because I love only needing one receiver for two mics!

Use right now on a Canon XF100... sounds great for indoors. Will be testing outdoors very soon. Great cable essential for any professional camcorder.

Must have

I should have purchased this cable along with the Saramonic UwMic9 system, but I was a newbee at the time. The ability to record two mics to separate channels on my H6 has made a difference my audio production. Generally speaking, I shoot at minimum with my Saramonic Boom Mic and at last one lav pack. And now those record to two separate channels (wav files) on my H6 which helps in post. A must have.

Is there a version of this cable without a locking connector?
Asked by: Brandon
No, we don't make one like that. But you can easily push back the locking connector and it does not impede the use at all. I use one with a Blink 500 and Blink 500 Pro system all the time.

Would this cable provide separate tracks out of the UwMic9, or will it be both channels mixed into both XLR’s?
Asked by: Blake
I think it is not right what David is telling here? It is single output from the Saramonic RX9, but it is stereo output, and the XLR’s are mono so one is for right and one is for the left.
