The Magnus VT-QRP500 Quick Release Plate for VT-4000PRO is a true quick release plate that attaches to the bottom of your camera and snaps into and out of your Magnus VT-4000PRO tripod head. It is an exact replacement for the plate that comes with your tripod and can be carried around as a spare, or used to outfit an additional camera so you can swap bodies on the tripod without having to swap plates.
The plate features a spring-loaded locating pin that makes it suitable for camcorders, DSLRs, and mirrorless cameras, as well as cameras that don't have a locating pin receiver. The plate is compatible with cameras that feature a standard 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 mounting socket, and it includes one of each screw. The rubber pads on the plate help prevent slipping or twisting once your camera or camcorder is mounted on the plate.

Magnus VT-QRP500 Overview
Quick Release Design
This is a true quick release plate, so it simply snaps into the camera platform of your VT-4000PRO tripod head, and a twist of the release lever allows it to pop free (always have a secure grip on your camera when activating the release lever). There is no need to line up any dovetails and slide the plate either in or out of the top of the fluid head.
1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 Tie-Down Screw
Both camera tie-down screws are of the captive variety, which greatly diminishes the chance of either one accidentally coming free from the plate when it is not attached to a camera.
Locating Pin
The locating pin is spring-loaded, so it can be used with cameras that have a locating-pin receiver as well as cameras that do not.
Rubber Pads
The raised rubber grips prevent metal-to-metal contact between your camera and the plate, and they help prevent your camera from twisting on the plate when the locating pin is not in use.
