If this is used with a 32-bit recorder such as the tascam x8 or zoom f6, will the clipping be fixable in post?
Asked by: Zach
It is very difficult to clip a 32-bit converter, but it is still possible to overload a mic capsule if you surpass the SPL it is designed for. A 32-bit recorder won't help with this, and if you somehow do clip the ADC on the way in it won't help with that either, but it does make clipping extremely unlikely due to the amount of headroom it gives you. If you are routinely running into problems with clipping during recording, or if there is no one on hand to adjust levels on the fly, a 32-bit recorder can be a game changer.

Does this work with a Zoom Q8? Can the Zoom Q8 accommodate 2 receivers?
Asked by: Karen
You can definitely use one receiver from the Sennheiser XSW-D LAVALIER SET Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System (2.4 GHz), but due to the width of the receiver, the two XLR connectors on the Zoom Q8 are too close to each other to have 2 receivers plugged in at the same time.

Can I use this model with Canon XA40 Professional UHD 4K Camcorder?
Asked by: Sona
Yes you should be able to use this with your camera, just be sure you select the version that will feed your camera. I have standard mic inputs on my video camera and I have two sets of the Sennheiser XSW-D Lavaliers. They don't compete or block each others signal. Really one of the best purchases I have ever made.

How many charge cycles is the battery rated for? Many lithium ion batteries are published with ratings like 300, 500 or 1000 charge cycles and hold 80% or more after that count. And is the battery user replaceable if it no longer functions normally?
Asked by: Tony
Per Sennheiser: "Customers can expect up to 1000 charging cycles with minimal effect on operating time" In essence it means you'll be able to rely on this system for several years.

Does this kit include the hotshoe mount adapter ...

Does this kit include the hotshoe mount adapter to mount the receiver to the hotshoe of the camera?
Asked by: Tony
No it doesn’t. The receiver on this particular kit is with the XLR male which is meant to be plugged into an XLR source such as mixing boards or even cameras with an XLR input. Since it’s plugged into the XLR, a separate mounting isn’t needed not possible. There are various other camera kits with a mini output which do come with shoe mount adapters.
