The SDI to HDMI Converter from Lumantek accepts an SD, HD, or 3G-SDI signal and converts it to an HDMI signal. Featuring a 2.7" TFT LCD display, the converter allows you to monitor input and output resolution, cable length, and eye-pattern at once. You can change the resolution of incoming video to any resolution ranging from 480i to 1080p60 with the 6-pole dip switch, as well as choose between a 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio and control the LCD brightness. The ez-SHV+ detects cable length automatically up to 623' at 3G-SDI and shows it as 'Short', 'Medium', or 'Long'.

With the SDI loop out be converted or will that be the same as the input signal? We need to convert SDI 25P to SDI 50i & HDMI 50i at the same time. Thanks
The SDI Loop Out will have the same signal as the input. It is best to use the Lumantek HDMI/SDI Cross Converter and Scaler for your scenario.

No, the Lumantek SDI to HDMI Converter with Display and Scaler will not reclock the SDI loop output, so if that is your goal I recommend using the Blackmagic Design Mini Converter UpDownCross HD (BH #BLMCUDCHD • MFR #CONVMUDCSTD/HD) instead.

What size DC power connector does this come with? I’d like to get a USB to DC cable to use a battery with it.
I just borrowed one from a friend who uses a USB phone battery pack and a USB to power it. It takes 5-18 volts in.

Can this converter handle a 12G/ 4K SDI signal to a 1080P HDMI signal?
The Lumantek SDI to HDMI Converter with Display and Scaler (B&H# LUEZSHV) offers a 3G input for a range of 480i to 1080p60 in terms of video input and output. It cannot interpret a 12G nor a 4K signal.

I can't get it to display anything but a grey ...
I can't get it to display anything but a grey stepped gradient going lighter to the left it also outputs in on HDMI despite the 1080p59.94 signal being detected. Tried everything and cannot get rid of the essentially colorless color bars. Anyone else have this happen? I've swapped out everything multiple times and my Decimator has no issue with the signal.
I've run into this myself. It's a 3GA vs 3GB issue. The Lumantek only supports 3GA - if it gets a 3GB single it will display the gray bar. Now, I haven't tested to see if it's only the built-in monitor that can't support 3GB but I believe that scaler itself doesn't support it. If you can switch your output to 3GA it should work fine.
