Achieve an additional dimension of surround sound with the walnut Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8000F Floorstanding Speaker. It has a two-way design featuring dual 8" woofers and a 1" tweeter paired to a 90 x 90° silicone-composite hybrid Tractrix horn. It supports bi-amping and bi-wiring configurations and up to 150W of continuous power.
90 x 90° Silicone Composite Hybrid Tractrix Horn
Tractrix geometry is designed to provide an efficient transfer of high-frequency waves into the listening area. The phase plug and compressed molded silicone face help ensure smooth frequency response for natural sound.
Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) Titanium-Diaphragm Tweeter
This tweeter design helps minimize distortion for enhanced, detailed performance.
Spun-Copper Cerametallic Woofers
These woofers are designed to be rigid, yet lightweight, for minimal distortion and enhanced efficiency. The cones are mated to a dual-layer, copper-wound voice coil for augmented conductivity. The woofers are also housed in a non-resonating, stamped-steel basket that's secured to a large magnet motor to help improve efficiency and reduce distortion, and are matched to the horn-loaded tweeter.
Vented Tweeter Design
The vented tweeter housing is engineered to reduce standing waves that create unwanted harmonics, resulting in augmented detail and clarity in high-frequency reproduction.
Tractrix Port
Utilizing Tractrix geometry, this port helps provide efficient, fast air transfer from the cabinet, reducing port noise for punchy low frequencies. The Tractrix port has inner flares that help reduce air turbulence entering the port for cleaner, more powerful bass.
Bi-Wiring & Bi-Amping Capability
Dual input terminals are onboard for bi-wiring and bi-amping the speaker. Bi-wiring separates high- and low-frequency current into separate speaker cables to reduce intermodulation distortion for clearer midrange, while bi-amping allows for customization using outboard crossovers when using separate amplifiers.
Cast-Aluminum Feet
The feet are mechanically designed to minimize surface area in contact with the floor, decoupling the speaker for faster, tighter low frequencies and more detail. They help provide a more modern look with less resonance than MDF or ABS plastic.
Flexible, Removable Grille
The grille attaches magnetically for easy attachment and removal.
