PSC RF Pack Overview

The PSC RF Six Pack (Single Band 470 to 700 MHz) is a compact, rugged RF distribution and powering system designed for professional location sound carts and bags. Built around two active 1 x 4 RF splitters, the unit supports up to three slot-style receivers while maintaining low noise performance and consistent signal distribution across an extended 470 to 700 MHz frequency range. Designed to meet today’s legal frequency requirements, the RF Six Pack delivers reliable operation in demanding production environments.

Active RF Distribution for Three Slot Receivers
At the core of the RF Six Pack are two independent, active 1 x 4 RF splitters built with super-low-noise RF amplifiers. Dual BNC antenna inputs allow simple connection to external antennas, while multiple SMA outputs provide signal routing to receivers with a typical isolation factor of 24 to 28 dB between units. Two additional SMA outputs on the side panel allow expansion to another Six Pack or similar RF distribution device.
Integrated Powering and Audio Output
The RF Six Pack can power external active antennas or remote line amplifiers, controlled via a dedicated front-panel antenna-power switch. The unit is powered from an external 12 VDC source, drawing approximately 170 to 210 mA. Six TA3M mini-XLR connectors on the side panel provide audio outputs from the installed slot receivers, keeping RF and audio routing centralized in a single compact chassis.
Designed for Location Sound Workflows
The RF Six Pack features mounting holes that align with the factory screws on Sound Devices 664 and 688 mixers, allowing secure mechanical integration into established cart or bag setups. Different brands of slot receivers use their own manufacturer-specific adapters, similar to those required for installation in Ikegami or Panasonic cameras.

Is it compatible with Shure ADX5D-JB (806-810MHz)?
Asked by: Takahiro
No. The PSC RF Six Pack Slot Receiver has an operational frequency range of 470 to 618 MHz and 940 MHz to 960 MHz for use in North America. It is not compatible with a Shure Axient ADX5D-JB Dual-Channel Wireless Receiver that operates in the 806 to 810 MHz frequency band.
