The HED-BP95D BP-U Lithium-Ion Battery Pack from Hedbox is designed to power Sony HD camcorders that use a BP-U style battery. It consists of LG AA high-quality 18650 battery cells and features an output of 14.4V and a capacity of 6700mAh / 96.48Wh. The battery pack includes one USB and two D-Tap outputs with dust covers for providing power to external devices such as on-cameras LED lights, monitors, wireless transmitters, and digital recorders. A 4-LED power meter displays the remaining battery percentage at 100, 75, 50, and 25%. Using the built-in data communication chip, the battery syncs with the camcorder to display the exact power percentage on the LCD screen.

In response to another review, you CAN charge non-Sony batts on OEM Sony chargers. My Sony BP-U chargers are old, one from 2009, one from 2016. I have used them for over 6 years to charge: IDX, Swit, Switronix(Switronix have no Sony camera chip), BP-U batts. Perhaps this Hedbox batt has an issue. Maybe the new ones won't accept non-Sony batts?

Previous reviewer didn't know you can't charge 3rd party BP-U batteries on the Sony charger. You have to also get a 3rd party charger, other wise the HED-BP95D works just fine and is currently working great on my FX6.

Yes, the D-Tap connectors on the Hedbox HED-BP95D BP-U Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (14.4V, 96.48Wh) can be used as charging input to charge the battery.
