Extending the effective focal length of select Tokina and Canon EF-mount lenses, this Kenko TELEPLUS HD pro 2x DGX Teleconverter enables you to get even more reach out of your lenses. The dedicated design retains full communication between the lens and Canon EF-mount cameras in order to maintain auto-exposure metering and autofocus capabilities. These contacts also relay Exif data between the attached lens and camera, and convert the data to the actual focal length in use with the teleconverter attached. This 2x teleconverter effectively doubles your focal length and has a light loss of two stops. Additionally, the advanced optical design features seven elements in five groups, and a multi-layer anti-reflective coating has been applied to individual elements to reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color rendering.

I am guessing this works well with the right lens and camera combo, it does not with mine (Canon 6D mark II and the Canon 70-200mm f4 IS mark II) Sadly. I have not tried it with my 7D and another lens yet. I know my older kenko 2x did though. we will see.
Not up to par.

While it's claimed to be compatible with all EF lenses as others have noted, it isn't. With the T6s I cannot use Live view. If I try the AF also quits and I have to remove the camera body and reattach it to get the AF to work and then it's not quite accurate. Used with 70-200 F/2.8. On the other hand, it did work with a Tamron 18-400 and SL1 combination. It both cases the AF slowed considerably and it hunted a lot with the faster lens.

My new 100-400L II will be ariving soon. Earlier I tried the
Kenko Teleplus PRO 300 DGX 2x AF with the 100-400L and EOS R but it didn't work with that combo. Will this work with the 100-400L II and EOS R? I understand I will lose 2 stops of light and the EOS R will focus at f/11 in daylight.
It will work if you have the EOS-EF to R lens adapter: BH# CAMAEFRF

Just to be sure: work properly with Canon 5d Mk iv with Canon EF 70-300L IS USM? With autofocus on? IS on??
All electronics carry over but you will not get autofocus for most of the focal length, as you will lose 2 stops of light when using the converter. You must have an effective aperture of f/8 to get autofocus with a converter.
