Does this lens work on a Black Magic micro cinema camera? Does the image stabilization work well?
Asked by: Daniel
Yes, this lens will work. I feel the optical stabilization you get for the price point is good. I’m unfamiliar with the BMMCC, but on my BMPCC 4K, I have to turn on optical stabilization in camera and on the lens as it is not automatic like some camera/lens combinations.

Is there any way (unofficial firmware maybe) to fix electronic focus ring of this lense so it feels like more analog one?
Asked by: yuriy
I know of no firmware update that would work as you describe above. Also, I would not advice installing unofficial firmware on your camera/lens. If there is an issue with the lens and you have unofficial firmware installed, it can void your warranty.

Just curious, What is the significance of the 14mm mark? It seems like it's there for a specific reason.
Asked by: Glenn
The different mm markings are so that you know where you are shooting at for say matching up focal lengths for different shots and ensuring similar look between takes or in similar photos.

Since zooms tend to increase minimum focus distance as they increase focal length, what is the close focus distance at maximum zoom (35mm)? I'm wondering if it can get tighter than the 35-100mm f/2.8 @ 35mm (0.85m). The lens states 0.25m, but like the 35-100mm, I assume this distance is only achieved when fully retracted.
Asked by: Ryan
I contacted Panasonic concerning your inquiry. According to the manufacturer, the minimum focus distance throughout the zoom range is constant at 9.8 inches (25 cm). As such, the minimum focus distance of the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 II ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens at the 35mm focal length is 9.8 inches (25 cm).
