Im from Canada, will the Manufacturer's warranty still be covered even item is bought in the US?
According to the terms and conditions on the Panasonic Limited Warranty form, the warranty only applies to products purchased and serviced in the United States. As such, for warranty repair issue needs, you would have to send the lens back to Panasonic in the United States, as the lens does not have international warranty repair from Panasonic. If you need international warranty repair, I would recommend considering purchasing one of the SquareTrade Extended Service Protection Plans offered on our website once you click the blue "Add To Cart" button on our website.

How much better in low light is this than the Panasonic 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 in terms of what ISO the camera needs to be set to get the same results?
The 25mm f1.7 will allow you to substantially reduce the ISO needed for a proper exposure. This will be an estimate as I don’t know exactly what the maximum aperture of the 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 is at 25mm (and you are giving up the flexibility fo the zoom), but it should be approximately f4.5. Increasing the aperture at 25mm from 4.5 to 1.7 is a gain of approximately 3 stops. So what needed ISO 3200 on the zoom will require only ISO 400 on the prime. Or reducing an ISO 800 shot to only ISO 100 (although most m4/3 cameras only go down to 200 or 160 as their native or lowest ISO so you could increase your shutter speed too!). Just looking at shutter speed increases, if you needed 1/50th of a second on the zoom, you can shoot at 1/400th second with the 25mm f1.7. Hope this helps.

Works well in a inspire 2 x5s?
Yes it will. This lens compresses images and offers a shallow depth of field and angle of view which is most suitable for medium and close shots.
