Supporting up to 20 lb camera rigs horizontally, the quiet and compact SliderONE v2 from edelkrone offers improved vertical capacity and wireless connectivity with HeadONE and HeadPLUS motorized heads. Use the SliderONE v2 to create revealing vertical moves at 90° with rigs weighing up to 5 lb.

Constituting the equivalent of the oft-used center area of most sliders, the petite SliderONE v2 measures a compact 10.6" long, providing 7.9" of travel. Use this portable slider by itself to create subtle moves powered by its powerful, built-in dual DC motors, or wirelessly pair it with your HeadONE or HeadPLUS for motorized 2-axis or 3-axis moves.

The compact SliderONE v2's 20 lb capacity suits it for use with a wide range of cameras including DSLRs, mirrorless, and smaller cine-style cameras. edelkrone's app for iOS and Android features a simple interface that enables you to design creative time-lapse and stop-motion effects using a single screen for all your edelkrone devices.

Additional SliderONE v2 features include steadier speeds throughout the slider range, quieter operation, a LANC camera control port, a 2.5mm shutter trigger socket, and a smaller form compared to the earlier model. The SliderONE v2 is powered using a separately available LP-E6-type battery, and its camera and tripod mounts are both 3/8"-16 threads.

Sliding into first base

I have had my eye on this for some time. I purchased an AC battery converter rather than just straight up batteries; that was somewhat of a challenge initially as I had to push quite hard and carefully to get the dummy battery in. After the first time, it has so far been successful and easier. The slider has a lot of capability in how it can be controlled. I would have liked to be able to open and play with the app before receiving the unit, however it is somewhat intuitive after reading the manual. (I find I discover new capabilities on many pieces of equipment after actually reading the manual.) Looking forward to hours of use out of this.

So around 20% and 80% through, mine has a little hiccup, so I'll have to put a SmoothCam effect on there so you don't see the little bump. Not very pleased with that. The length I feel is fine, you only use a couple seconds of a slide anyway. The speed is to be desired however, it's a hair too slow. Now, I think if you're going to do Tim-lapses, this would be the way to go, but for a straight video slide, I'ld go with something else.

The slider is excellent, it connects immediately to the app and works flawlessly. Top marks for the delivery. I have ordered it from the UK and I received it in three days, amazing. B&H even gave me the option to pay the taxes in advance. Really happy with both the product and the service!!

Doesn't even come with a battery

Right out of the gate I'm not impressed. It's definitely short, which whatever, I can figure out the best use. But it didn't even come with a battery for it and nowhere on the listing does it say that you have to buy a battery separately. Not impressed to spend $500 on a piece of equipment that doesn't even come with a stinking battery.

I picked up this slider because it is so compact and thus ideal for travel. Though it does not move particularly fast or have a wide range when paired with the HeadONE you can cheat both speed and range to punch above this sliders weight versus just standalone. The app is intuitive and easy to configure on the fly for any given scenario. Both the SliderONE and HeadONE chew through batteries so make sure to pick up a few extra if you have a lengthy shoot. Since I use other bluetooth apps for lighting and camera control I went ahead and got the remote controller as well. As other reviewers have pointed out in order to amplify the appearance of movement with this smaller slider it is a good idea to shoot through or around objects in the foreground. There are other bigger and more expensive sliders that may be better suited as a doc style second shooter but as stated they are bigger and more expensive. If you go into it with appropriate expectations this might also be the right motorized slider for you. It was for me especially becuase of its compact size. Also looking forward to using this slider for timelapses but have not done so yet.

Yes, this slider supports up to 20 lb when used horizontally. You could use a camcorder with it because of its high load capacity.
