Oben TAB-2M Reviews
Very well made and easy to use
This was just what was needed for some of my photography projects. It's easy to use and very sturdy. It hold the camera and all the things I need to shoot straight down on a table. The only thing that was an issue is that the shaft rotates in the collar if you loosen the clamp. When you move the shaft in or out to adjust you have to be sure you didn't put any rotation aspect in the level of the camera. Not crazy bad but it is something you have to be mindful about. I guess for some things this may even be a good thing but for my usage it was a tiny bit annoying. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to get this again if I need another!
A critical accessory
If you are doing product photography and can't afford an expensive column stand, you can do with this accessories. It's more than a bar, it's an important tool in my studio with so many usages. Just wish I have bought one a long time ago. The quality and sturdiness of it is all I need. Highly recommend it.
So far so good.
So far so good. Haven't had to use it yet, but the construction appears excellent and on par with any of my Manfrotto gear!
simple yet efficient
This bar is so useful because with a little imagination you can customize it to do many things. My favorite kind of accessory!
Just what I needed.
I bought this so I could mount a camera on one end and hang a sand bag counter weight on the other. Some of my work requires the camera to be directly over my subject and this allows the camera to be out in front of the tripod legs. I saw a review where someone complained that the handle for the clamp broke off on their unit so I'm always careful to only tighten the minimum amount. It's not real easy to move the sliding bar especially with weight on it but that's more do to slight flex or uneven weight. I use a ball head for the camera.
easy to use
I use this for food photography. Very easy to use and small enough to take into non studio space for on location shoots.
Great for vertical shooting
Also use this on a Promediagear camera slider, works great and well worth the money.
works great for copy shots
Every once in a while I have the need to shoot straight down. Sometimes I have to document artwork on paper and this helps get my camera into position. I am using a dslr so it is not very heavy. This works with my Manfrotto tripod. I do wish it had a rotating collar at the bottom. After getting it into position, there is a wheel that is supposed to lock it down tight. I find, I cannot get it secure enough that way and have to twist the whole thing. This could put it into an unfavorable position relating to the tripod legs.
