The Kirk Small Tripod Quick Release Plate is an exceptionally well-made piece of equipment. I use it with the Kirk 2.6-inch Quick Release Clamp, which is specifically designed to fit this plate, and the combination works extremely well. I have the plate attached to my Wimberley 200 gimbal, and the fit is excellent. It aligns perfectly with the gimbal and provides a solid, secure connection. I also use it with a Sirui ball head, where it fits perfectly as well. The machining and overall build quality are excellent. Everything fits together precisely, which is exactly what you want when supporting expensive camera equipment. I also appreciate that this plate is **made in the USA**, which is another testament to the attention to quality and craftsmanship. If you are looking for a high-quality plate for connecting your tripod or monopod heads, I highly recommend the Kirk Small Tripod Quick Release Plate. In my experience, it is one of the best options available.

Excellent design and build quality. I use both large and small Kirk QR plates on different Kirk, RRS and Leofoto ball, panorama and Gimbal heads for easy and fast mounting on different tripods equipped with Arca-type compatible QR bases (Kirk or Leofoto). Added bonus, the built-in safety screw and nubs ensure that the heads won't twist and slide off even when the receiving plate is not completely locked. Changing heads to different tripods is easy and fast, providing maximum flexibility. Price is higher than other bases but reasonable given the quality and safety features. Highly recommended!
