Kirk TQR-MPS Reviews
Great for Quick Swap
These things are great if you want to be able to quickly swap tripod heads or legs. No struggle to loosen overly tightened heads from legs or mess with set screws (grub screws). And no worries about the head being on tight enough to not loosen when you use the panning function of the head. I’ve got a couple of small ones and a large one. Small ones on my gimbal and Acratech GXP-SS, and the large one on a full size ball head. I match them to Arca-Swiss clamps that are semi-permanently mounted to my various tripods. I use round clamps that are approximately the same size as the tripod mounting plate, tighten them down, and tighten any available set screws. Rock-solid, but I can switch heads in a flash.
