MegaGear MG1496 Reviews
Great for the price, but strap is way too short to be warn comfortably without modification.
The MegaGear leather case is a nice leather box which will fit the Sony RX100 cameras but has the following shortcomings, in my opinion. 1. The leather strap is too short for adult use. In the longest adjustment the entire case sits fully above my belt line. The strap measures 22" from each swivel to the center of the strap (for about 44" long in total). 2. The leather strap is SEWN onto the swivels, turning the mounting of a OP/TECH USA Battery Holster on it into a sewing project. 3. The clasp on the case cover is magnetic and is located on the front side of the case, making incidental contact against other objects a potential to flip open the clasp. However, the flap even when the clasp is flipped open doesn't open up "too much" on it's own without someone lifting it further. Basically, the case it is well worth the money and a good value (for$25.00 in 2026) even with it's shortcomings, as it wouldn't take too much effort to replace the strap it came with with something more usable, and the unit is far less expensive than the SONY RX100 case (at $140 in 2026), however the SONY case is a far better case, and also fits my RX100VA and RX100VII cameras.
