FutureVideo Studio8 Overview

Record up to 1080p60 video on eight channels with the V-Station HD Studio8 H.264 Multi-Channel DVR with Multi-Channel Streaming System from FutureVideo. The system features eight mini-HDMI inputs, one 3.5mm mic input, one 3.5mm stereo line input, and you can simultaneously record up to nine tracks, eight channels plus one live line-cut track, and then send your recordings seamlessly to your NLE for post production.

The system is also capable of live-streaming up to nine video streams to social media sites like YouTube or Facebook Live, or you can save your mix and upload later with the built-in uploader or via FTP. The 2 RU rack-mountable system comes loaded with a 240GB system SSD running Windows 7 Professional, and two removable 1TB 2.5" hard drives which are set to RAID 1 mirroring for redundancy.

Other features include event logging, live channel monitoring, a built-in B-roll media player and clip browser, a multi-view interface to see all your streams, a rough cut editor, and XML transfer to your NLE. Rackmount brackets, wired, illuminated keyboard, and a mouse are included.

Records Nine Full HD Video Tracks
With nine full video track recording, it will create the live line-cut track and still have the eight channels of the original recordings to re-edit later with your NLE. It has all the capabilities to simultaneously record eight HDMI cameras in full HD 1080p60 resolution (at up to 30 Mb/s per channel) with an incredible total of 80 hours of recording time.
Built-In B-Roll Media Player
It has its own B-roll media player for playing back graphics or videos you can record on the DVR in a live shoot or use for presentation or cue card to a studio monitor.
Integrated Project Management
With their built-in SQL database media asset management systems, V-Station HD clips are recorded and organized by project, reel, scenes, episodes, topics, test cases, or any nomenclature you wish to define for the project. This makes it simple to locate, backup or seamlessly transfer projects to your non-linear editing system.
Integrated Clip Library Browser
With a secondary monitor, you can view your content in V-Station's clip library and filter it by your own categories.
Flexible Video Recording Resolutions and Containers
V-Station HD Studio series DVRs provides a variety of H.264 recording options. Multiple resolutions (up to 1080p), frame rates (up to 60 fps), bit rates (up to 30 Mb/s), and container types (MP4/MOV) are supported.
Multi-View Player/Rough-Cut Editor
With the optional V-Station HD Studio Companion software (available separately), play back all 8 video tracks in synchronized mode without re-encoding or transferring to an NLE system. Recreate the shoot and cut as you play, creating as may different rough-cuts in minutes.
AutoProducer Video Switcher and Line-Cuts Editor
Switch live between sources and send the program output to a monitor and stream live while simultaneously creating the EDL for post-production.
Multiple Streaming Live or Send Mix to YouTube or FTP
Send multiple streams to YouTube Live or a single to Facebook Live, or upload your mix immediately after the shoot with built in FTP or direct upload.
Log Events as They Happen or Afterwards
Enter markers and notes for each angle as an event occurs and find the exact frame upon playback with the built-in media player.
Monitor All Channels Live
View all video angles together on one screen using either an optional 10" touchscreen and/or standard computer monitor. Use one, two, or even three monitors to easily see all your controls and video.
Redundant Recording
A set of dual 1TB hard drives for redundant recording (optional 4TB hard drives may be ordered) safely ensures there is a backup of your sessions in case one drive should fail.
