While the Beseler Lamp Cap Assembly for 23C Enlargers (220 Voltage) can plug directly into the wall for power, generally you would plug the unit into a darkroom timer. Note, this is the 220V version of the lamp assembly and uses the European Schuko socket. In the USA with 110/120V electricity, you'd need the Beseler 110V Lamp Cap Assembly for Beseler 23CIII Enlarger, B&H # BELK23C.
