Dear Jason, thank you for your request. The camera case for the R does not fit when using a battery grip. It is quite easy to install and remove the camera case but cannot be used combined with battery grip.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the easyCover Silicone Protection Cover for Nikon D3200 (Black) would also be compatible for use on the older Nikon D3100 DSLR Camera. It was made specifically for the dimensions, contours, screen size, and button layout of the Nikon D3200 DSLR camera. As the Nikon D3100 has since been discontinued, it is not available for testing for compatibility. As such, your results may vary.
