Vanco HDMI Extender over Single Cat 6/5e Reviews

True plug and play!

I have 3 of these in the theater I operate, and have had zero problems in the 2 years I've had them. Competing brands I've had would randomly drop sync, and were hard to get to connect. With this one, just plug in the receiver end, then the transmitter end (+ power), and it just connects! I've yet to have one of these drop signal, or even glitch due to sync loss. It's a solid unit at a fantastic price.

We've tried using the specified cables at the recommended lengths and it still drops the signal. It's very unpredictable. Run BNC. Don't use this for anything.

Can this be used to extend a signal from a mirrorless camera...for instance Let's say you're doing a live broadcast but you need the distance of long cable runs...can you come out of your camera into this unit, convert it to ethernet, and then go into the unit's mate, come out HDMI into an ATEM Mini Pro and from the ATEM mini pro into a laptop? I only see that it says televisions or Blu ray players...

Can this be plugged into a network port or does the cat cable have to run directly from transmitter to receiver?
Asked by: John
No, you cannot run the encoded transmitted HD video signal through a network switch. The HDMI input transmitter links directly with the HDMI output receiver sending your HDMI signal and IR over Cat 5 or 6 up to the manufacturer determined distance. Pay more for longer distance transmission.

Do you need to power BOTH the sender and receiver or is it POE with only one box needing power?
Asked by: Kyle
Yes, Both the TX and the RX Vanco HDMI Extender over Single Cat 6/5e Cable with IR Blaster would need to be powered with wall adapters which are included in the package. An alternate that would power the RX from the TX would be the MuxLab UHD-4K HDMI over HDBaseT Lite Extender Kit with PoE BH #MUHDMIEKPOEhttps://bhpho.to/3QN7gNq
