Choosing a smaller size over bulk and weight, the SLR Magic MicroPrime Cine 18mm T2.8 Lens covers Super 35 sensors and features a Fuji X mount. Suitable for 4K origination, each lens in the MicroPrime Cine series features similar size and weight with consistent lens gear positions for rapid lens changes and easier rebalancing when changing lenses on a gimbal.
The lens provides a pleasing bokeh with natural-looking out-of-focus highlights. The lens has an internal focus design so the front of the lens doesn't rotate when focusing, and it has an 82mm filter thread for compatibility with a wide number of filter options.

SLR Magic MicroPrime Cine 18mm T2.8 Reviews
Too tight
The lens is extremely tight on the camera mount to the point I thought it would be stuck on my camera. Lens seems to work fine but not at the risk of potentially damaging my camera
GREAT 18mm option for the FX6
I was a bit worried from reading other reviews about vignetting on a full frame e-mount. However I'm very impressed with the build quality of this lense. On my FX6 I'm not seeing any horrible vignetting wide open at 2.8. Sharp as well. And while I have not had much time to test it doesn't appear to exhibit too much Chromatic aberration. Especially when looking at YouTube reviews and comparing to the other larger focal lengths in this SLR Magic MicroPrime series which have pretty noticeable CA. Compared side by side with a 20mm Samyang Cine Prime. I'd prefer the quality and optics out of the SLR Magic. It's a winner.
Compact and ideal coverage FF
I bought this lens as an entry point into a full prime suite for use on S35 and FF bodies. Immediately I liked the build quality and the just right amount of focus rotation on the barrel, ideal for single operators or for using a focus motor. My only issue was pairing this lens with the Viltrox Zcam E2 E-mount adapter. The fit is very stiff but if you read my review over there you'll find out how I got it to work. TL:DR though. All in all I'm very pleased with the character of the lens, the slight vignetting in the corners is ok, as most of this is cropped out in 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 2.41:1 framing and consider windowed modes for high frame rate and I'm more than happy with the coverage. On Full frame, like a Sony A7 series, you might enjoy the rectilinear capture of this lens; perfect for fashion and landscapes. The fit on an A7 body though - my absolute favorite of any lens, really feels at home on an A7rIII. Based on this test lens I'm going to order the rest of the set (15, 25, 35, 50 & 75)!
solid!
love it.
lens stucked on the mount of my camera
So I bought 4 of these SLR magic microprime lenses and the 18mm got stuck on the mount. It doesn't even make 1/100 of the rotation turn to make the click sound when a lens is correctly mounted, it barely moves and makes this lens is unusable. The 50mm had problems too but at least completes the rotation to make the click sound, still makes me wonder the quality of these lenses.
Great
Incredible lens, at T2.8 it has vignetting but nothing that can be fixed. Very sharp and excellent construction
4.5/5
Truly amazed how close these are to Cooke Panchro Series III. The edges are a bit soft, they're also relatively hard to get solid focus on the edges. My use shows around T11 where you actually can get solid focus on the edge. It's actually far stronger wide open than I've seen others mention, a wonderful lens.
Amazing
Amazing lens for the price, it`s better than I expected, looking forward on buying the rest of the lineup :)
