Is there a weight limit? I would feel a lot more comfortable if it screwed into the tripod mount rather than dangle by a hook.
This does not have a specified weight limit, but will accommodate most DSLRs with large lenses.

You can purchase additional camera connectors to switch out cameras. The strap will only connect to two cameras at a time though.

I received mine yesterday. In the description, it says that it is a "sliding camera strap". Is the camera supposed to be able to slide on the strap to eye level so that you don't have to remove the camera to use it? Or is it not supposed to slide that high? If not, what is the point of the strap being able to slide at all?
I am sorry that you are having problems with the strap. If you watch the demo video on this page, around 2 minutes and 20 seconds in, he demos the dual strap sliding it up to his eye.

Does the camera work well with just one camera attached?
Yes. The biggest advantage I've found to strap systems like this is you never have to worry about the camera strap slipping off your shoulder. To that end, regardless if you have one camera attached or two, it works great.
