does the strap have to be attached to the one screw point on the bottom of the camera or can it be attached to where the manufacture neck strap attaches?

You can attach the strap to the 1/4 thread on the bottom given you put the adapter. the strap comes without the adapter but it be wise not to do it.

You could remove the D rings and attach the Peak Design AL-4 anchor system, however, the release system on the RucPac Sentinel Camera Strap is just as secure as AL-4.

Yes, you can remove the under arm strap, the splits in the clasp allow you to remove it from the pad.

The strap holds the heavy camera at one point only. Will the camera strong enough to have all the weight at one point only?

According to the manufacturer it was tested to hold over 100kg or 220lbs. If you have a large lens attached you might want to attach the strap to the lens and not the camera strap eyelets.

Yes it keeps the strap from rolling forward and backwards, but if it is not comfortable for the way you use your camera, you can remove it if need be.

You would need RucPac 1/4" Screw Strap D-Ring in order to attach the strap to your lenses 1/4-20 threads.
