I like Ruggard products. Just know after heavy use the velcro doesn't stay as secure as when you first bought it. I have a feeling it doesn't matter what brand you buy that's just how it is. I sometimes just want to do a photography walk with 2 batteries, one in the camera and one in this Ruggard battery pouch. I also own the double battery version. Both are high quality products just keep in mind velcro is prone to wear and tear from heavy use.
It holds one battery for a compact digital and fits an accessory pocket of a small camera bag. The all-sides coverage and Velcro-style closure seem safer than the clip-on had-plastic contacts covers for some types of batteries. I have mixed feelings about the bright blue edging on the flap, but it beats yet-more all-black for findability. I have not tested the belt clip, but suspect it would work only on a narrow belt or neck strap.
