Weighing in at only 4 oz, it won't disrupt your gimbal balance. The pole screws onto the bottom of your gimbal handle with its 1/4"-20 mounting screw and also features a 1/4"-20 thread on the other end for mounting additional extensions or accessories.

This is a great addition to my AK2000! I wish I had it earlier. My only beef with it is that the threading under the extension is slightly recessed and will not screw on to the small tripod legs that came with the kit. So I can't put it down while using it. Maybe it's for the best since it would be too heavy but still, I wish I could attach that little tripod.

I've had the AK2000 for a few years now and this extension makes it much easier to use. My only issue is that the threading on the small tripod legs that come with the gimbal aren't long enough to screw into the arm so you have to hold it the whole time or keep detaching it every time you need a rest. An extension screw could solve this but feels like an oversight. That said, I'm overall happy with it. It makes the gimbal much more ergonomic without really adding any weight.
