This KIPON Baveyes Mamiya645-S/E Adapter enables the use of your Mamiya 645-mount lenses on Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. It features a 0.7x crop factor compensation thanks to the optics developed by German specialists IBE Optics. It features a durable metal construction with both brass and aluminum components. KIPON Mamiya 645-Mount Lens to Sony-E Mount Reviews
Great build quality and optics
Feels great on my Sony FX cameras. I have been shooting on my FX9 and FX6 a lot with the Mamiya lenses and this mount feels extra sturdy. The full frame image quality is great. This is my first Kipon product so I wasn't sure what to expect. Very nice.
Perfect match
I used the adapter/reducer on the Sony A7R3 (42 MP) with the 105-210 ULD zoom lens. The combination is a perfect match. Pictures have an amazing amount of detail in the center and the corners. No CA, lovely colors and a bit less contrast compared to modern 35 mm lenses which I personally like. Likewise the reducer works very well with the 24 mm fisheye. Amazingly sharp and crisp pictures at f11 and f16 except for the corners which show a low amount of softness (which is to be expected for such an extreme wide angle lens). There is a low amount of CA in high contrast situations. Lightroom had no problems to deal with it. All in all I am very pleased with the performance for my landscape photography. I would recommend this adapter to a friend.
