Sennheiser Teamconnect SL Overview

The TeamConnect SL Ceiling 2 Microphone Array from Sennheiser is designed to provide better audio quality for voice and video conferences. It features adaptive beamforming technology that automatically follows the active speaker's voice, letting people speak naturally whether they are sitting, standing, or walking around the room.

TeamConnect Ceiling 2 offers great versatility and interoperability with support for Dante networks and POE (Power over Ethernet). It is compatible with Sennheiser's Control Cockpit software for efficient remote management and offers remote configuration and monitoring via an open media control protocol (API), allowing for easy integration into media systems. A 3-pin Phoenix connector and eight self-adhesive rubber feet are also included.

The Sennheiser TeamConnect SL Ceiling 2 Microphone Array BH #SESLCEILMIC2 does not offer active noise cancellation but it does focuse on whoever Is speaking.

How large of an area can one of these pick up people speaking?

The ideal height to use the Sennheiser TeamConnect SL Ceiling 2 Microphone Array (B&H#: SESLCEILMIC2) is between two and four meters from the person speaking (approximately between 13 and 16 feet). While the height of the room is ideal (with a ceiling height of 16 to 18 feet) the size of the room is too large in order to adequately capture all people speaking in the room. This microphone captures in a circular pattern on a diameter of 32 feet in all directions, meaning even if the microphone were placed in the middle of the room, it would only reach about 16 feet in any given direction. For a room 40 x 60 feet, multiple microphones would be recommended.
