Gator GFW-MIC-CLMPBM9 Reviews
Mini Boom Grade: C-
After using this for about 2 dozen times playing gigs around town [4 months], the knob which enables a user to select various angles of the 2 circular tooth-gears failed. The spring which provides tension to the outer tooth-gear does such a STRONG job it pushes the inner female nut on the knob such that it grinds the screw male post against each such that the inner female nut becomes ground down, not enabling a secure connection. If your application is a one and done, yeah - this product will work well. But if you're adjusting the angle like I was [I'd place the boom vertical down for transport] on a continuing basis, then it will fail quicker than you'd think.
Boom arm is not adjustable
For the price I can't really complain. But I will! :) Should have looked closer. The boom arm is welded to the adjustment. You can adjust the boom arm up and down but not make it longer or shorted. I am using it to mic a bass drum, so this is not a problem for me. I will look closer next time. The clamp is very sturdy and works well. James
