This is by fats the best phone mini tripod. As might as well stop searching and purchase this one. Everything about it is incredible. From durability to design and flexibility is second to none.

Fine for a cellphone, but for a camera check out the EVO

I've purchased both the Manfrotto Pixi Evo tripod and the smaller Pixi Smart Mini from B&H. Both are very well-made, sturdy little tripods, but I prefer the Evo. The Mini's height is a fixed 5 inches, but the Evo's legs are extendible, and can be operated in two modes, wide and narrow, giving the tripod a height varying from 4 to almost 8 inches. At every height, the Evo's feet cover a bit more area than the Mini, so that the Evo provides more stability. The Evo will also support more than twice as much weight (5.5 lb) as will the Mini (2.2 lb). For use only with a cell phone, the Mini is probably more than adequate, but to support a more substantial compact camera, the Evo might be preferable. In fact, the only great advantage of the Mini is that in comes with a smartphone clamp. If you opt for the Evo instead, you might consider buying the Xuma Smartphone Mount as well.

Black plastic wheel on screw WAY-hard to turn

The black plastic wheel on the screw is extremely difficult to move (it's supposed to loosen the ball atop the legs so you can set your phone camera at different angles). In response to an inquiry about this, Manfrotto said ...if it does not tighten [loosen], we suggest returning it to point of purchase. Back to YOU, B&H...
