Instantly turn your 33-36" translucent umbrella into a softbox with the Umbrella Cover from Angler. Simplicity is the best mode of operation and Angler makes it a snap to achieve soft, flattering lighting with a fraction of the effort it takes to set up a softbox. Just slip the elastic-edged Cover over the open end of the umbrella, eliminate spill light with a draw string around the flash head, and you're done. Then you can direct the white side of the umbrella at your subject for a soft, enhancing quality of light with moderate contrast and a warm, wraparound look with a hint of snappiness. Additionally, a bonus of using the Cover is that not only can you work closer to your subject, but the umbrella needs less tilting than a standard umbrella - a real asset in spaces with low ceilings.

Shoot Through - Create a Softbox the Easy Way
Slipping the Reflector Cover over the open end of your translucent umbrella instantly turns it into a softbox! Then turn the umbrella around and point the white side at your subject and let your light source "shoot through" it. A bonus of this design is that it requires less angling that a standard umbrella - a real asset in low-ceiling spaces. While the diffuser absorbs only about 1 stop of light, it's a small price to pay for this modifier's soft, flattering quality of light backed with moderate contrast
Soft, Diffuse Light
The cover widens the beam angle to create a soft wraparound quality of lighting that's ideal for portraiture.
The Design and Setup is Simplicity Itself
Setting up in seconds as compared to a softbox, the cover is ringed with elastic to ensure a tight fit and mounts to your flash head with a simple draw string to control spill light.

Love this for my shoot thru umbrellas. It severely reduces the lost light when using shoot through umbrellas. Without it the shoot through loses more light without it. I’m sorry that I can’t get this for my seven foot shoot throughs.

For the price the quality is okay, but the lining was not silver inside as described, it's a matt white.
