The BOSS Waza Tube Amp Expander is a comprehensive tube amp command center designed to function as a variable reactive load box, active analog power stage, miked cab emulator, IR loader, and recording interface, letting you change the volume of your tube amplifier without affecting its tone, dynamic response, or distortion character.
It features Resonance-Z and Presence-Z panel controls, which optimize the impedance interaction with your amp's output transformer. Selecting from sixteen different settings, you can make your amp behave and respond as if it were connected to a speaker cab. The expander supports any tube guitar amp up to 150W.
Ten different rig setups can be stored in the unit, and each includes your custom effects and EQ settings, cab/IR selections, effects loop on/off, MIDI program change (for controlling external MIDI effects), and amplifier control status. Rigs can be recalled with a panel knob, and additional controls are provided for reverb and other functions. Onboard 32-bit / 96 kHz DSP ensures top-of-the-line effects processing without leaving the unit.
The Waza Tube Amp Expander features two parallel speaker outputs, three balanced XLR outputs (left, right, and mono), and a 1/4" headphone output. A USB Type-B port is provided for direct recording to a Mac/Windows computer and convenient communication with the editor software. In addition to the MIDI 5-pin I/O, three 1/4" jacks are presented, allowing you to hook up multiple controllers.
