Chiaro Pro 67mm 98-UVATS UV Filter

The Pro 67mm 98-UVATS UV Filter is one of Chiaro’s highest-rated protective UV filters with 98% light transmission. It’s ideal for photographers of all levels who demand high-quality glass and other essential features for excellent image fidelity and construction.

To achieve 98% light transmission, Chiaro uses highly-polished optical glass, multi-coating, and additional advanced elements that improve the filter’s light transmission. A scratch-resistant coating minimizes scratching of the glass and helps assure that water, oil, dust, and fingerprints are removed with a gentle wipe. Its hard-anodized aluminum filter ring is designed to screw on and off effortlessly, and it is thin to prevent vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses. Side knurling helps assure that you’ll have a firm grip when attaching or removing your filter.

Image quality is what matters most at Chiaro. The company has tested and combined many features and essentials to achieve superior image quality and the highest light transmission. To help take the confusion out of selecting a filter, Chiaro prominently displays the light transmission levels so that you can choose the perfect filter for your lens and photo session.

98% Light Transmission
Protecting your lens doesn't mean you have to lose optical quality. By using highly-polished optical glass and advanced coatings, Chiaro offers a 98% transmission rate, which is an excellent transmission rate for glass. And the company verifies the ratings with ISO certified lab testing.
Resistance Coating
The layers of advanced resistance coating on the filter are designed to resist moderate scratches, and allow you to easily clean your filter. Water beads up and rolls off your filter, and oil and fingerprints can come off with a gentle wipe. Dust and debris won't adhere to the filter and can be removed with a puff of air.
Polished Optical Glass
Glass that's polished to perfection is essential to achieve a high level of light transmission. The optical glass in this Chiaro filter is highly-polished for flatness that ensures excellent optical clarity.
Multi-Coating
Multi-coating enhances light transmission to the demanding level set for all Chiaro filters. It reduces unwanted internal reflections and ghosting that can compromise your images.
UV Protection
The filter blocks UV light and reduces the bluish cast of daylight that can affect color accuracy, especially at higher altitudes.
Hard Anodized Aluminum Construction
The process of hard anodizing toughens and strengthens the aluminum for a lightweight yet durable filter ring.
Slim Design
Measuring only 3.2mm, this filter is slim enough to use on wide-angle lenses without experiencing vignetting.
Top and Side Knurling
In addition to top knurling, Chiaro added side knurling to better grip the filter when you're attaching and removing it, or when you're stacking filters.
Secure Attachment
It takes two full turns to mount the filter on your lens. This feature will securely hold your Chiaro filter through the most demanding photo shoots.
Front Threads
The front threads on the filter allow you to stack filters by screwing them onto your Chiaro filter.

Panasonic Lumix G Vario 100-300mm f/4-5.6 II Reviews

My go to lense

I bought the lense to use when hiking and to get photos of animals without getting too close. I'm really pleased with this lense and would recommend it for someone looking to do wildlife photography.

I like the size and weight of this lens. The OIS is great for handheld images, some softness when fully extended, to be expected for the distances I 'm shooting at. By using a monopod it delivers sharp photos when pushed out to 300mm.

I purchased this lens to help fulfill my desire to get my own images of the moon. I'm an amateur photographer and learning daily. It's great to use manual mode to see what I get. My camera is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G85M.

I bought this lens to use with the gh6 and tried it on the om-1 and it works best. I recommend to buy either for Olympus or Lumix users

It's a learning process

Since I just purchased a 4/3rds camera, I admit that I have a lot to learn. Not just about the camera either. Based upon my old Nikon D5100, my go to lens was the 18-200, and for baseball games, I was often at the 180 to 200mm range, so I figured the 100-300 would be perfect. Except that the GH5ii is a FT camera, and at games, even 100mm seemed to be too much, even from 200 feet away. But, with that being said, this lens is a nice lens and I have no regrets with it. It just does not get used as much as I thought it might, but in my search for the perfect lens, I will say that the Oly 12-100 is Goldilocks' favorite. So, if you want to get up close from a distance, this lens is a steal for the price. Try that with a full frame camera and you will have to really open up the wallet.

I used to carry big and heavy similar lenses. Now this is much lighter and its quality is exceptional! It's very affordable and I highly recommend it!

Good for birding

I have a Panasonic 45-150 lens that I use frequently, the 100-300 gives me a lot more reach. Using it on a monopod is a lot easier when at the max length is advised. Handheld even with ISO engaged is problematic. Compact size and weight are appreciated when moving through wooded areas.

Does anyone know the difference between the US and the international version? is it the size, weight, glass, motor? what exactly makes them different?
Asked by: Charles
Hi Charles! The lenses have the same specifications. A difference will be that the warranty is applicable in the US only for the US model. As well, the international lens model may not be compatible with all the US camera models. -G

question

I want to buy some MFT lenses for my JVC LS300. Are all the Panasonic MFT lenses parfocal and will they all work with the LS300 rocker zoom?
Asked by: Denis T.
The Panasonic Lumix G X Vario PZ 45-175mm f/4-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens B&H # PA451754XB and the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens B&H # PA144235XS can be used with the LS300 and be zoomed by the rocker switch. These lenses are not parfocal and rely on Auto Focus to maintain focus. Also note, the LS300 must crop the sensor to work with these MFT format lenses.
