Canon EG-E1 Reviews
Worked great, until I need to use my R8 on a tripod....
This grip is great for people like me with larger than normal hands, however, the love affair with this grip was over once I need to use my camera with this grip on a tripod. 1/4 socket is - very unfortunately -in the screw wheel that attaches to the camera and no arca-swiss rails - as in all my smart rig brackets, is provided. This makes arca -swiss tripod mounting, or even simple screw socket tripod mounting, precarious at best and the times I mounted the this bottom bracket and camera to a tripod 1/4" screw socket, it was most difficult to properly secure and then even more difficult to remove (frozen on 1/4" wheel mount!). So 4 1/2 stars for utility and extension for people with big hands who do not use a tripod (a slight minus for being almost all plastic!) . 1 1/2 stars when needing to use and secure this plastic wheeled, almost all plastic bottom bracket on a tripod, unfortunately...
Excellent Grip and Secure Design with a Stylish Touch
Great grip for larger hands, making it feel more like a pro body. The weather-sealed compartment hatch with a twisting latch is secure and nearly impossible to open accidentally. The red accent color adds a personal touch. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it. I would buy it again.
