View, capture, and share photos and videos through a magnified optic with the Carson Optical 8x42 MonoPix Monocular Digiscoping Kit.

The first part of this kit is a powerful and versatile 8x42 roof-prism monocular. This configuration is ideal for general-purpose observations from dawn through dusk, and with a wide field of view you can enjoy looking at large areas with minimal head movement. Anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics help to produce accurate color representation with improved contrast and clarity, and the wide exit pupil and long eye relief make looking through the monocular comfortable for anyone. It can be used handheld for fast glassing on the go or  tripod mounted for steadier views and better photo and video capture.

If you want to document your kid's soccer game, an elusive bird, or a prize buck, simply install the included HookUpz Universal Smartphone Adapter. Designed to quickly mount and remove from the eyepieces of all kinds of optics, the HookUpz will accept most sizes of smartphones, including those with dual cameras, and holds the phone's camera lens securely centered to the optic's eyepiece for taking photos and videos.

  • Moderate 8x power magnifies your subjects while maintaining a wide field of view and exit pupil, and long eye relief
  • 42mm objective lens ensures views remain bright and clear, even in low or challenging light conditions
  • Anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics maximize light transmission to produce bright and clear high-contrast views with accurate color fidelity
  • Wide 60° apparent angle of view presents an immersive observational experience
  • Spacious 394-foot field of view at 1000 yards allows users to view wide areas with minimal head movement
  • Exceptional 17.2mm eye relief reduces eye strain, especially during long observation sessions
  • Wide 5.25mm exit pupil will cover pupils as they open and fully dilate in low light to keep the entire scene in view

Use and Handling

  • Large slip-resistant focus knob is easy to reach and manipulate with either hand
  • Twist-up rubber eyecup for comfortable use with or without eyewear
  • 1/4"-20 tripod mount enables direct connection to most quick release plates, heads, or other support systems to reduce vibration and steady the optic during digiscoping sessions
  • Tethered objective lens cap won't get lost while using the monocular
  • Ocular lens cap attaches to strap to keep it safe

Smartphone Adapter

  • Capture and share pictures and videos through monocular or binocular eyepiece
  • Fast installation and removal onto optic without tools
  • Holds camera's lens centered in eyepiece
  • Fits eyepieces with outside diameters from 40 to 44mm (1.57-1.73")
  • Compatible with most smartphones
