The lens ring attaches to the Nikon lens and mounts to the Arca-type-compatible tilt head. By mounting through the lens, it frees up the camera and lets you set up quickly. The tilt range of the head is +/-3.75° and +/-7.5°, and you can rotate the head a full 360° with 90° intervals, which is four click stops. You can rotate the bubble level to either side to easily view the level while keeping your horizon straight.
