These are amazingly better constructed than the previous models that had exposed circuit boards. The enclosure completely hides all of the circuitry, which protects your connections and even reduces the overall length of the device; allowing for shallower installs. Please note that unlike the previous builds, you will need to provide your own mounting screws and nuts. Would absolutely purchase again!

These are great connectors BUT you have to test them! In a batch of 16, I had 2 with intermittence and 1 that was a total dud. For the money, these shouldn't have to be tested. Buyer beware.

You would use Neutrik NZP1RU-12 Angled Rack Panel with Twelve D-Shaped Cutouts (1 RU) (NENZP1RU12) or Neutrik NZP1RU-8 Angled Rack Panel with Eight D-Shaped Cutouts (1 RU) (NENZP1RU8).

Can an ethercon cable also be connected to the rear? It looks like maybe the back only accepts a standard ethernet connector?

No, the Neutrik NE8FDX-P6 only accepts a locking Ethercon connector on its front face.
