Dedicated to the Ricoh GR III digital camera, the GW-4 Wide Conversion Lens is a 0.75x-magnification lens, which provides a wider, 21mm equivalent focal length. Use of this adapter requires the additional GA-1 Lens Adapter for attaching to the camera and, additionally, a petal-shaped lens hood is included to reduce flare and ghosting.

I bought this item based on online recommendations for its use as a wide angle adapter on the FujiFilm GFX 100RF, which has a. fixed 35mm lens. The GW-4 attaches with the adapter included with the GFX-100RF and expands its field of view. I've uploaded two images - one with the fixed 35mm lens and one with the GW-4 attached. You can see how much wider the view is on this camera with the GW-4 and that there's no apparent difference in color or quality. The GW-4 image was shot with f/6.9, When shooting with F/5 or more open there's a small amount of vignetting in the corners if not using the digital zoom or less than full-sensor aspect ratio. I've included one image with vignetting shot at f/5 as an example of what to expect. This is a solid, well-built adapter and comes with protective caps and a convenient pouch for storage when packing in a typically padded camera bag.
Image quality is sharp. I keep this permanently attached to the GA-1 adapter for quickly attaching to the GRIII on the go. The lens is very heavy, but it’s the only way to get a quality, wider angle from the GRIII’s built-in lens. If the GRIII has a built-in lens equivalent to 24mm (35mm equiv.) or wider, I obviously wouldn’t have bought this lens.
