The kit comes with two Senal OLM-2 omnidirectional lavalier mics and two SK-XSW bodypack transmitters. The sleek, EM-XSW 1 DUAL two-channel tabletop receiver with built-in antennas and streamlined interface receives both mics at the same time.

Sennheiser EM-XSW 1 Dual-Channel Stationary Receiver with Internal Antennas (A: 548 to 572 MHz)

The EM-XSW 1 Dual-Channel Stationary Receiver with Internal Antennas from Sennheiser is a 2-channel analog UHF wireless receiver. It can be used for singers and presenters when paired with an XS wireless 1 series handheld transmitter and microphone capsule (sold separately). The dual-channel receiver is designed with ease of use in mind and is well suited for DJ, church, and school applications.

Each receiver channel is built with antenna-switching diversity reception and features automatic frequency management and synchronization via remote channel. Up to 10 compatible channels are available. Additionally, an AC power adapter is also included.

The SK-XSW-A Bodypack Transmitter from Sennheiser is designed to be paired with an EM-XSW1-A or EM-XSW-2 receiver. It can be used to capture audio for live stage applications and features automatic frequency management, which offers up to ten coordinated frequency presets for wireless connections. The transmitter is sweat-resistant and can withstand even the toughest stress in everyday on-stage use.

This system was outperformed by the 20-year-old analog Audio-Technica system it was supposed to replace. It was unable to transmit a usable signal 80' line-of-sight. Build quality was also surprisingly poor for Sennheiser. We ended up with a new dual digital Audio-Technica system that worked infinitely better.

The Sennheiser XSW 1 DUAL 2-Person Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System Kit (A: 548 to 572 MHz) does not have an SD card slot for recording. You would connect the XLR outputs on the back, into an audio recorder, to be able to get the audio onto an SD card.

The default sensitivity is -30. Is it recommended to put it higher to -15 or is -30 good? I am recording educational lectures in a studio space.

I would recommend doing a test recording with the mic starting off with the default sensitivity setting. Experiment with the settings as well as the positioning of the mic to find the combination that works best for you. When you do the test recordings, you can say which setting you are using for the sensitivity level and where the mic is placed. Just speak and record, and that way you can easily listen back and compare the audio clips without having to remember how everything was set up.

If I bought 2 of these, could I run all 4 mics simultaneously without frequency interference?

Just to clarify, I believe the question is asking, bases on buying two of these kits, if you can use all four mics. I believe you can only use either the handheld or the lapel as there is only one receiver. So the question should not be if their is interference, it should be can the reciever take both mics, and I believe the answer is no.

This is a single receiver system that works with only one transmitter. If you require additional mics, then you would use full systems for each mic set to different frequencies.

Yes, you can use both transmitters at the same time with the Sennheiser EM-XSW 1 receiver. The receiver has two separate channels so it works with two wireless transmitters/microphones at the same time.
