Lenovo 40AN0230US Overview

With the ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock from Lenovo, you can connect a variety of peripherals directly to your ThinkPad laptop and other USB Type-C/Thunderbolt 3 enabled devices. This dock is built with a variety of video inputs including two HDMI outputs and two DisplayPort outputs that can support up to three 4K displays or a single Ultra HD 5K display.

Accompanying the video inputs, you will find a single Thunderbolt 3 port that doubles as a USB Type-C port. If that's not enough, this dock comes equipped with five USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports. In addition to this, there's a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port that also supports Thunderbolt 3 technology.

The ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock has a single Gigabit Ethernet port and a 3.5mm combination stereo/mic jack. This dock comes with an included 65 and 230W power adapter, two power cords, and a Thunderbolt cable. Furthermore, this dock is compatible with Windows operating systems.

Thunderbolt 3 Connectivity
This dock offers one Thunderbolt 3 port to connect and charge your computer. It is designed to transfer data at a rate up to 40 Gb/s.
4K Display Support
This dock features a built-in DisplayPort that can drive any display up to 4K resolution. Better yet, you can enjoy enhanced performance with professional video support for a maximum of three 4K displays.
5K Display Support
Users can enjoy a 5K UHD video experience through its DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 3 outputs.
USB 3.1 Gen 2
Five USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports deliver up to 10 Gb/s of high-speed data.
Data, Display & Power
There's a cable connector that delivers data, display, and power up to 230W to charge high-performance ThinkPad Mobile Workstations.
Enterprise Manageability
The dock supports enterprise manageability with PXE boot, Wake-On LAN, and MAC address.

Depending on many factors such as the processing capability of the host and peripheral devices, file attributes, and other factors related to system configuration and operating environments, the actual data transfer rate will be slower than 5 Gb/s on USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) connectors, slower than 10 Gb/s on USB 3.1 Gen 2 connectors, and slower than 20 Gb/s on USB 3.2 connectors.
